Summer Grayling FISHING BOOK THE ANGLE OF THE CAST ![]() SUMMER GRAYLING ON DRY FLY IN THE UPPER WELSH DEE GUIDED DAYS / WILD FISHING WHEN YOU VISIT WALES IN 2012 HARDY FLY FISHING SCHOOL CONTACT ghughes2@btinternet.com THE MAGIC OF GRAYLING FISHING IN THE SUMMER MONTHS ![]() Update 20th May 2011 26 days to go until we shall be attacking the wonderful Grayling with Dries and Nymphs on lightweight rods, hopefully under leaded skies with warm temperatures !!! wishful thinking, no harm in that. The only 'upset' to this is the 'Ford' at Glan Alwen, Grayling are there present and spawning, they can be seen in groups of 10 to 15 fish, some in the 3lb class..... and the 4 wheel drive offroaders driving back and to through them, despite the EA sign on the gate.... hey ho ! WILD FISHING WALES Update 1st September 2010 The 'Ladies' are looking up! Aaron Jones on holiday at Glanrafon experienced the Welsh Dee today, first time with a fly rod in his hand, and accounted for 8 Grayling on a Dry ! Here are a couple of them ![]() ![]() Update 10th August 2010 A simmilar kind of day to yesterday weather wise, although difficult fishing at times Bryan and Denise Oxberry accounted for 14 fish between them, some absolute cracking fish in great condition. The 'Rat' infront of a dry was responsible for them all appart from one which came to a Parachute Olive size 18, late on in the afternoon. ![]() ![]() ![]() Update 9th August 2010 On a strange day of closeness / rain / bright sunshine and strong wind at times John Brittleton did well with five fish, three Grayling and two Brown Trout on Czech Nymphs. ![]() ![]() ![]() Update 20th June 2010 The season is four days old and in awkward sunny conditions today the River Dee produced the goods, some decent Grayling to kick start the Summer Grayling Season proper. A group of six from the 'Bolton Fly Tyers' came and fished very well under extreemly difficult conditions, plenty of heat, not a cloud in the sky and some cold release water. Nymphs and Bugs did the damage but a couple were caught on the dry. Their total tally for the day were 19 Grayling and 2 Brownies. Here are some pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() FISHING TUITION FLY CASTING COACH FLY FISHING COACH FLYFISHING TUITION FISHING WALES FLY FISHING TUITION DRY FLY FISHING LESSONS 'SUMMER GRAYLING DVD' Order a DVD on tactical approach to 'Grayling' on the River Dee with 'Dry Fly' and 'Bugs' Details are on the 'G H PROGRAMMES' page on this website.
