CAME ACCROSS THIS YOUNG MAN WITH A GREAT FISH FROM THE 'LIFFEY' IN APRIL 2006
Liffey

Fancy a trip to Ireland this 2008 fishing season for truly ‘Wild Brown Trout’ fishing and learn the tactical approach with ‘Dry fly’ and ‘Nymph’ with ‘1998 International Rivers Champion’ Gwilym Hughes (A.P.G.A.I.).

The ‘River Liffey’ in County Kildare is merely an hour’s drive from the Dunlaoghrie ferry terminal and abounds with ‘Trout’. The fishing can only be described as phenomenal given the right conditions, it is very good in poor conditions hence the reason for choosing this venue.

A small party of (three) is catered for and you make your own way to Corwen or Holyhead where you will meet up with Gwilym. The ‘Stena Line' ferry will take you across the Irish Sea to either Dublin or Dunlaoghrie

BROWNIE RETURNED

UPDATE 22ND APRIL 2006

Three anglers spent four days on the 'Liffey' this past week and whilst we caught fish every day it was not until Friday 21st that the river came alive with a major hatch of Iron Blues mixed with some small chironomids, the rise of 'trout' was phenomenal, has to be seen to be believed. Anyhow we took 81 trout for the four days between us, measuring between 20 and 30cm, here's a couple of pictures.

UPDATE 7TH MAY 2005 ON THE FOUR DAY TRIP.
